Napa Co a.k.a Napa County is a county located north of the San Francisco Bay Area in the U.S. state of California. It is part of the Napa, California, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Napa County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood. The word napa is of Native American derivation and has been variously translated as “grizzly bear”, “house”, “motherland”, and “fish”. Of the many explanations of the name’s origin, the most plausible seems to be that it is derived from the Patwin word napo meaning house, although local residents will often cite an urban legend that gives the translation as “you will always return”.

Co is a general business abbreviation for Company. This domain name can be used as a company name, hotels, local resorts, local restaurants, tourist spots, classified ads, communities or as advertising linked to your website.

Dot com extension is by far the most easily recognised and understood extension of all. For many, possibly most people their online surfing experience is limited to websites with a .com extension or the extension for the country they live in.

If you have a site that is not built on a dot com domain, it may be harder to market the site. This is because people who are looking for your site but don’t remember its name are likely to type in the dot com version of the domain name first.

Dot com is known worldwide, it is effectively a global brand and this advantage gives it a dominant position that puts it far ahead of any other domain name extension. That is unlikely to change, as a consequence .net .org and .biz as well as other extensions will never be viewed in the same light as .com.

There will always be demand for memorable, short, descriptive and compelling domains, regardless of the extension. Long domain names are difficult to remember, difficult to type, difficult to spell by phone, difficult to advertise via radio or TV and your website may lose potential visitors or even lose them in favour of typesquatters or competitors.
